Hello hi!
I’m Wiseman Zondi. Other people would call me a researcher, and political analyst. I call myself a writer, reader, thinker, and above all, a human.
This is a living archive of my writing since 2015. I was 18 years old when I started these musings. Some of them hold up well. Some.. not as much. But they all exist, and together, they represent the evolution of my thinking.
I’ve been interested in many topics throughout the still-existent life of this archive: we have political analysis, we have pro wrestling analysis, we have a bit of philosophy, we have health policy, we have self-help, we have personal biography – and a whole lot more.
That’s a sign of pride for me. As useful as disciplines are, disciplines are made to be cross-pollinated. That’s what Wiseman Zondi does.
What else would you expect from someone with:
∙ a B.A degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law (cum laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal
∙ a B.A Honours degree in Philosophy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal
∙ a MSc degree in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford?
In this house, we take disciplines as mere suggestions rather than boxes from which to remain in forevermore.
So what can you expect?
You can expect me at my fullest; at my most expansive – you can expect a curious, thoughtful, critical, hopeful, and passionate thinker from this platform.
These are my lodestars:
1. Human dignity is sacrosanct
2. South Africa is worth fighting for
3. Everything is more political than you think
These principles will guide my every article, my every collaboration, my every appearance on platforms other than this one. These principles make Wiseman Zondi who he is. I hope you’ll join me on this wonderful journey of understanding the world through my biography, experiences and expertise.
Best,
Wiseman
